Are you sitting on shares that you can't sell because they are, or have been, restricted and can't find a way to sell them?
It's a common problem…
You've brought shares in an overseas company, maybe in response to a cold call, and now you want to sell; the trouble is, the company has imposed a restriction of anything up to two years and you can't liquidate until you've held the stock for that amount of time.
You feel you've got no choice but to sit and wait. While you're doing so, your shares could well be sliding in value.
Even when the restriction period has ended, you may not be able to liquidate your stock through the normal channels because it doesn't sell in high enough volumes for brokers to be interested.
It seems you can't sell and, even if you could, your stock has now lost most or all of its value.
What do you do?
Well, that's what we're here for…
